Greetings from the Icelandic Presidency

Iceland took over the presidency from Finland in 2007. Now at New Year the 3-year presidency period is over and it is time to pass the torch to Norway. Those years in NES Board has been a rewarding time with inspiring and demanding tasks. I just want to mention few things.

Welcome to NES new website

NES welcomes you to the society’s new website which has been developed by the NES Board during the Icelandic Presidency, in cooperation with technical expertise in Norway. The new website now takes over from the two previous webs we have had since 2004, which is both the old website and NES Forum Network.

IEA Council meeting 2009

This years IEA’s Council meeting was held in August 8-9 in Beijing in connection with the 17th IEA Triennial Congress. Three representatives attended the meeting on behalf of NES this time, i.e. Christina Jonsson president in ESS, Knut Inge Fostervold board member in NEHF and undersigned, president in NES.
