NEHF takes over NES Presidency

In January, the presidency of NES was passed over to the Norwegian Society of Human Factors and Ergonomics - NEHF from Iceland. I hereby wish to thank the Icelandic President Torunn Sveinsdottir and Secretary Svava Jonsdottir for the excellent work they have done in their presidency period.

I look forward to continue developing NES further with the excellent NES board and the NES secretary Anne Bolstad. The board has this year worked further with a new strategic plan and the finished plan will be presented on the web site in June. The purpose of the strategy plan is to ensure that NES will fulfill its goals as well as possible.   We have also started three projects within the NES board with purpose to make NES conference even better. The tree are:
•    Develop NES networks,
•    How to ease the burden on arranging the NES conferences
•    How to attract both researchers and practitioners for the conference and keep a good scientific standard.

I hope the results of the group work will make a positive difference in the future.

If you have views, ideas about positive changes, questions etc. please contact me
